The Declaration Day 5K starts and finishes at The Captain's Table restaurant in Monroe, NY. The Table is a staple in the community known best for its friendly staff, great food and beer, music and more.  

 

The run course is essentially a tour of the village of Monroe, and passes along the well-known Mill Ponds, which is the centerpiece of Monroe, and also its most popular place for running and walking.

What You Get
In addition to the race, each participant will get lunch, a free draft beer after the race (age 21 and above), and to all who register by June 24th, a commemorative "Declaration Day" t-shirt.



Charity Affiliation
The charity partner for 2018 is Our Father's Kitchen at Sacred Heart Church.


Start
The race goes off at 10:00am, and is followed by a post-race party on The Table's famous "Afterdeck."

Check-in/Registration
Race check-in and same day registration will begin at 8:15am in The Captains Table's main lobby.



Parking
Some parking will be available in The Table's main lot. Once that lot is full, parking will need to be found elsewhere nearby. There are several lots in the area, and you can Google 547 Route 17M, Monroe NY for an overview. Please be aware that some businesses are OPEN on race day, and we cannot take away all of their customer parking spaces. Please use your good sense and discretion in choosing where to park.

Awards given to the top male and female overall, and in the following age groups:
Under 12, 12-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+


 

Captain's Cup Fitness Team Challenge
Gym-based fitness teams will compete against one another for the Captain's Cup. Scoring will be done in a manner similar to scholastic cross-country meets. Top 5 runners from each team will score according to placement, with the lowest score winning. Runners not in their team's top 5 will score deduction points for their team, so the more runners you have on your team the better!
